The word "blog" is sooooooooo blaaaaaaaaah.
Now, “storytelling” is something I can slurp up like a good bowl of hot soup!

Its rich history, dating back to ancient times, culture and life were told through cave paintings, hieroglyphics, dance, and song. Evolution brought us the oral tradition, tales shared from generation to generation to keep what is meaningful alive.

My favorite part of elementary school was circling up on the rug for story time, right?!
Or how about the joy when someone would read us a book?!  It would seem that we are almost genetically programmed for it.  And I believe storytelling is THE universal human connector.  It can bridge gaps to bring people together to somehow make the world a brighter space.  And let’s face it, when you find your people, it can set your soul on fire!

This is my campfire, pull up a log, grab a cuppa tea, and visit here often to hear my tales!

“I will honor whatever you drop in my lap!”

Can we talk about something really scary?  College x 3. What can I say? It crept up on us.  And when my oldest son was a freshman in high school, my friends who had older kids shared how much the average year of college cost and it scared the living crap out of us.  And things were already tight.

While my massage practice was thriving, I could only work so many hours with two hands.  So I prayed, “I will honor whatever you drop in my lap!” LITERALLY, a few weeks later, a friend shared with me about the incredible power of Young Living essential oils. I saw firsthand how they made a significant emotional and physical difference in my client's health, my family’s health, and MY health. I started paying attention to the concerns of friends and was able to offer solutions.

I started to get “thank you” checks from Young Living and at first I didn’t even know why.  But eventually, a beautiful mentor reached out and explained the business to me and how to help others and teach THEM to help others and this divine network of like-minded individuals began to grow and expand with ease.  Don’t get me wrong, I was diligent and focused, but I loved providing ways to empower people to take charge of their health.

In three years, when my oldest son’s first tuition payment was due, it was the SAME EXACT AMOUNT of my monthly thank-you check from Young Living.  And by the time my twins entered college a few years later, my check had more than doubled and was covering all tuition payments.

Coincidence?  I don’t believe in those.

I believe when we are in the right place at the right time and we honor what is placed before us, our prayers are answered.
